abstract = "The use of remoting Sense and the GIS technology help to detect
the fire in the Brazilian Amazon Forest, mainly on the Arc of
Deforestation. During the dry season the hot spots have been
continuously increasing in this area. The analysis includes the
cross check of satellites images with polygons of deforestation
and others cartographic informations. The result shows that the
major hot spots concentration and hot spots detected in forest
areas keep on together mainly through the Arc of Deforestation and
it has a direct relationship with new deforestations areas. These
analyses may contribute to prevent large fires on the remnant
                         forests.",
